Raznik’s Hunger - SHORT DRAMA

A mysterious man suffering from anterograde amnesia (no new memories) finds himself in a neurologist’s consultation. How will he return to his far away wife if he can’t trust the help of his doctor, let alone remember what he last ate. Inspired by true events: "The Lost Mariner" by Oliver Sacks. AFTRS student film 2017. Shot in 8 hours, including wardrobe, make-up, and rehearsal.

Snippet trailer of the 27-minute documentary aired on ABC-TV’s Compass program; Australian Armenian Shahane Bekarian discovers a treasure trove of archival interviews that include his grandfather. What he learns from survivors who escaped to Australia, after the Armenian Genocide of 1915, forces him to confront his own cultural inheritance.
